what people say

  • “…they were very good sessions indeed.” – JB, Shell

StoryWorks

Telling stories – the magic bullet for your messages?

We confess: we were really sceptical about story telling. It sounded childish. A nice extra for when you’d like to use up some spare training cash. Nowadays, as if.

But the effects on people when they’ve learned the skills forced us to flip 180 degrees. Stories taps in deeply to how we, as human beings, make sense of the world. They engage people’s emotions as well as their thoughts. So the ideas stick. Useful if you want people to remember your communications.

Telling stories is basically just a simple, powerful way we can persuade people that what we’re saying is valuable to them. By the end of the workshop you will be able to understand:

  • what makes good stories; and
  •  how to create and use them to motivate yourself, your organisation and your clients
